How genes can change your life?
It needs a long, long time to come to this knowledge about genes, but nowadays everyone knows what genes are and for what they are so important.
Scientist don’t know anything about them, that’s why genes and genetic engineering is a actual topic and still be one in the next time, and so it’s important that scientist research.
Today there are many positive and negative things we can do with genetic engineering.
In the following paragraphs I give some examples for negative and positive things.
First I want to explain some positive things. Since we can use the DNA (our own code) to find persons, it helps the police to solve crimes and found criminals.
The next positive point is a controversial point, because there are groups, who don’t think it’s positive. I talk of the using genetic engineering for food. By genetic engineering we can preserve something or we can make bigger and red tomatoes or corn. Another useful thing is that it’s possible to make fruits or vegetables resistible to lower temperatures.
But now my favourite negative using, it’s cloning. If you cloning you copy your DNA and then you have the same person a second time, for outsiders it’s impossible to identify the real person and the clone and I think that have a bad solution for the human being.
Another problem is that one fingerprint is enough to identify us, or new cameras which recognise faces with a database, I think that lead to a real control state and then I think we have a too small privacy.
In my opinion genetic engineering is a positive thing but we should not pass the limits.

As your contact person, I looked for some suitable facilities, sports and places for young adults. I separate the points in the paragraphs below.
Facilities and amenities:
I visited many museums in Vorarlberg and can say that we have a big choice between different interesting museums.
I think a special attraction for the youth from America, are the locals and discothèques, because in Vorarlberg young person only need to 16, than they are allowed to drink alcohol!
In there home they have to 21, so I think that would be a big plus for our area.
Another attraction is our food here, it is perfect, we have many biology products and very good beers, which they are allowed to drink!
Sport and other leisure activities:
In Vorarlberg the guys can do a lot of different sports. On the one hand we have many mountains here, so you can go hiking very well, this area is known for hiking. On the other Hand you guys are able to do almost every sport in the valley.
Special places:
In Vorarlberg are many special places.
We have the capital Bregenz, where we have a big lake and a beautiful old town.
From Vorarlberg you can make a excursion to Switzerland, because it is next to Vorarlberg.
Recommending:
All in all, I can suggest you to offer trips to Vorarlberg, because this area is so multifunctional and I mean there is for everybody the right sport museum or even meal.

MY IDEAL FAMILY
What is the traditional family? Nowadays many people cannot answer this question, because there are more and more adoptive, - blended or fosters families.
But is it important to know this, is the traditional way always the right way? In my opinion there are many right ways.
In the following essay I will explain my ideal family and bring some arguments and examples.
To start with the ideal setup, to talk of the perfect setup is difficult, because it’s different from culture to culture and nationality to nationality.
The setup of the traditional family consists of mother, father and two children, one son and one daughter. But I think that’s not ideal, in my opinion an ideal family needs more than two children, because especially for younger kids are communication and playing with their brothers and sisters an important thing. I cannot put me in the position of a child without brothers and sisters.
In the contrary to my opinion, in the traditional family the father goes to work and the mother plays the typical housewife. I don’t care, if the father or the mother stays at home, because I think the father also can do the homework and look after the children.
The next point is the relationship between the family members. For a good harmony in the family, the parents should like and understand each other, therefore the children have a good example, how to deal with there brothers and sisters. And if there is a good harmony between the whole family, it’s a real backup for everyone. The worst thing that can happen to the family, especially for the children is when the parents get divorced and nowadays almost 50 percent of all marriages get divorced!
The relationship is very important, so I can say, that a one-parented family with a good harmony is better than a traditional family with bad relationships between the members, than young kids need many time and sympathy and if the parents are quarrelling the whole time they neglect their children.
The last thing is the importance of the family for the society.
A family with a good harmony can be a role model for families with some issues. For example, these criminal kids, such problems starts in the family, and domestic violence often over lap to the kids. So I can infer from that, that a family with harmony and good relationships is important for society.
To conclude, sure I’m affected of my childhood and my family and everybody can see it with other eyes, anyway I think a family with good relationships between the members is a big advantage.

Death penalty: yes or no?
Death penalty is always a current issue, that’s why I choose this topic. There are many organisations, which fight against the death penalty, for example Amnesty International.
Death penalty is very controversial issue. On the one hand in Europe the death penalty is abolished almost anywhere, on the other hand the USA, where death penalty is a normal punishment. In this essay I will look at the arguments of the supporters and the opponents.
To start with the supporters and their arguments. They say that a murderer or an evil criminal is danger for the public and so we have to kill them.
And if a murderer kills someone we have to kill this guy to.
And the supporters think it’s determent for other criminals, who maybe see what’s happen to this guys and so they don’t do it.
In contrast the opponents. In their opinion every human have the right to live, everybody can make a mistake. Besides it’s prove that the death penalty don’t determent anyone, in the contrary, in countries with the death penalty is the rate of murder, higher than in the other countries. And the argument with the danger is wrong, too, because if you are in prison, your whole life, you aren’t any danger for public.
To sum up, death penalty is a big problem. But I know it’s very difficult to solve it. In guess the whole world should abolish the death penalty, since I’m convinced that the opponents have the better arguments. In my opinion death penalty is the wrong way to punish, because everybody learn from the own mistakes and every human have the right to live.

Book review:
Paranoid Park:
Paranoid Park is a young adult novel, which was written by Blake Nelson, he is an American author, who lives and works in Los Angeles. Paranoid Park is published by Penguin Group. Since November 07 exist a film version, which was directed by Gus Van Sant.
Now I want to write a little bit about the story, not too much because I want you to read it, too.
First I want to explain you the title, Paranoid Park is the biggest and best skater park in Portland. In the narrators opinion it’s a skater’s universe. The story takes place in Portland.
The narrator, whose name isn’t given, has several problems and the biggest one is that he was involved in a fight with fatal consequences. In the book he tries to solve this main problem, but that’s not so easy and he doesn’t know what to do. He has so many options, but it’s difficult to figure out which is right.
In the end of the story a friend suggest to write down his problem, because she thinks it’s easier to let it behind and that’s the reason why the book is constructed like a letter.
The main character is the narrator, who is a skater but we don’t know much about him. He has a little brother, Henry. His parents are getting divorced at the moment. The other important characters in the book are his best friend Jared, also a skater, other friends, who are skaters, too, scratch a guy from the street, which he met at Paranoid and there’s Jennifer his girlfriend.
In my opinion Blake Nelson wrote this book in a youth-style, and I think that’s very good because that makes the book special.
It was one of the first books in school, which was thrilling for me and I could read it fluently and I have to say that the novel is much better than the movie.
I hope the next English books are as good as this one.
I give it 7 of 10 points.
